china, si chuan says hello! to Matteo

There's always a first time for everything. Immerse in the beauty of chinese music instruments played by four young westerners - Matteo. Not your typical fusion composition, their music is one of a kind. I hear the clear, traditional notes of Pipa, Zhong Ruan, Er Hu, Gu Zheng and Ma Tou Qin yet there is a touch of indie, country and folk within Matteo. What blown me away is that, they had no training and everything is self taught.

Currently, they are at Sichuan University, studying guzheng, matouqin, erhu, and liuqin and will be recording an EP too! Tiger In A Jar is working with them on videography
